I purchased this item used from someone who had used it a few times at the gym. I have not used it since purchasing it and have kept it in storage.

Usage Precautions

Regarding Impact Loads:
Daisy chains are not suitable for uses involving impact loads, such as running belays. They are not designed to withstand impact loads, making them dangerous to use as runners.

Regarding Self-Belay:
Always use your main rope for self-belay. Use the daisy chain only as a backup.
It is extremely dangerous to rely solely on a daisy chain for self-belay, especially in situations where you are depending on a single anchor.
For temporary belays when removing the main rope during rappelling, etc., it is recommended to use sewn slings attached to multiple anchors.

Precautions for Pocket Clipping:
The strength of each pocket on a daisy chain is only about 3kN.
If you clip a carabiner across the stitching of two pockets, and the stitching breaks, the carabiner can detach from the daisy chain, which is extremely dangerous.
Clip only one carabiner per pocket. This way, even if the stitching breaks, the lower pocket will catch the carabiner.

How to Attach to Your Harness:
Attach the daisy chain directly to your harness's belay loop using a girth hitch.
