Modern German Violin
This is a violin from the long-established German workshop, Karl Hofner.
Even when captured in photos like this, I believe it has a very well-proportioned appearance, not only due to the high processing accuracy of the f-holes and corners, but also its refined look with a light antique finish.
The one-piece back also has a very powerful presence, changing its expression depending on the angle. (Incidentally, one-piece backs are only used on high-grade models by Karl Hofner.)
The strings are Dominant for G and D, Chromecore for A, and Goldbrokat for E. (A slightly particular choice. I believe they are still usable, but please consider them for replacement.)
I think its tone is on the warmer side among the instruments I offer. Perhaps due to the good quality bridge, the response is also excellent, and it should be easy to play.
*There is a crack repair history below the left f-hole, but it is currently not a problem at all. Please be aware that this is a used instrument and may have scratches.
This is a genuine German violin made in the craftsman's town of Bubenreuth. With a 5-digit serial number, it is believed to be from around the 1970s.
The aged sound, due to the passage of time since its production, is very attractive.
When viewed as an instrument from West Germany, made under the harsh conditions of the Cold War, perhaps a different kind of charm can be felt.
Please consider it.
