Vintage Otagiri Japan Persimmon Fruit Sake Tea Cups Kanji Calligraphy Set of 4

A beautiful vintage set of four (4) small Japanese stoneware ceramic cups.  They measure just over 2 1/8 inches tall.  Each cup features a vibrant, thickly textured, hand-painted orange-red persimmon fruit accented with elegant gold trim and dark foliage.  Back Design: The reverse side showcases running cursive artistic Japanese calligraphy script over a light gray/celadon crackle glaze background.  The kanji character for Persimmon (柿) is visibly painted on the piece.  While these do not carry an active paper foil sticker, the rustic textured glaze, execution of the hand-painting, and calligraphy style are highly characteristic of mid-century pieces imported by Otagiri or Japan during the late Shōwa era.  Beautiful vintage condition! No cracks, or structural issues. The hand-painted red enameling and gold trim remain remarkably bright and intact. Please review all photos.
