PC Engine SUPER CD-ROM² Console - RGB Output Compatible, Fully Serviced

This is a serviced and maintained PC Engine SUPER CDROM2 unit with built-in RGB amplifier and RGB output support. It has been used for a while after maintenance.

Fully functional units of this model are becoming quite rare.

This is a maintained unit with all deteriorated electrolytic capacitors replaced and internal board disconnections repaired.
Continuity has been restored in areas with electrolyte leakage from deteriorated capacitors, the board has been thoroughly cleaned with alcohol, the CD drive has been serviced, and various adjustments have been made.
Japanese chip ceramic capacitors, which do not leak electrolyte, have also been partially used.

Video, audio, and read operations have been confirmed.
When using RGB output, please use the included RGB cable (JP) with an RGB21-pin compatible monitor or an HDMI converter such as a Frameister.

There is a small switch on the upper left rear of the unit.
When set to the left, it uses the original PC Engine video signal as the sync signal.
In this state, conventional PCE video cables can also be used, and video output is possible via RGB or video output.
When set to the right, composite sync signal (C-sync) is output, which is only possible with RGB output and not video output. If the sync is not aligned when set to the left, or if any unexpected malfunction occurs, please switch it with tweezers or similar tools. Normally, the left setting should not cause any problems.

There is no audio noise, which is common in poorly maintained units.
The backup super capacitor inside has also been replaced with a new one.
Data backup is also functioning correctly.

① Games and music CDs have been confirmed to boot.
CDR media has been readable, but there is a possibility that some discs may not be readable depending on the burning environment and quality.
Please understand that the CD drive of this unit was not designed for CDRs in its era, so we cannot guarantee perfect operation in this regard.
② Although we have thoroughly tested the unit, it is a game console from about 30 years ago, so there is a non-zero possibility of unexpected malfunctions occurring in the future.

The set includes the unit, genuine AC adapter, power connection cable for PC Engine, and RGB output cable (JP specification). Please note that the software used for operation check is not included.
