Vintage Tie Tacks, Two Silvertone, One Goldtone, Estate Jewelry

This is a lot of three vintage tie tacks. The brushed silvertone item tie tack featuring a modernist square face and an attached security chain. The round polished silvertone tie tack features a cut-out and etched line design and also has a safety chain. The oval goldtone tie tack has a simple but sophisticated etched line design along with the safety chain feature. Tie tacks of these styles were popular in the 1960s as a sophisticated way to keep a necktie in place.  • Function: The pin on the back pierces the tie, while the attached chain and bar (which may be hidden in your photo) hook through a buttonhole on your shirt to anchor the tie.  They range in size from approx. 1/4 across to 3/8. These are estate items.  Bundle with other items in my closet to save on shipping!
