Willcom's SII-made SOCIUS WX01S is a simple PHS terminal with a straight body. However, SOCIUS is an excellent device that can handle three lines: two smartphone lines and its own PHS line, using its Bluetooth headset function.

SOCIUS WX01S (SOCIUS), one of Willcom's Fall/Winter 2011 models, is a compact device that matches Willcom's current direction, which is increasingly focused on voice and email usage. While it's a simple PHS without a camera or web browser, it's not just an easy-to-use device; it's also a product that seems to have been missing until now.
The manufacturer is Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII), which has a track record of supplying devices to Willcom, such as the X PLATE WX130S and data cards. The straight-shaped body measures approximately 45 (width) x 120 (height) x 11.5 (depth) mm and weighs 77 grams. While it may seem compact and lightweight compared to current mobile phones and smartphones, it's a standard size for Willcom devices. The display is a 2-inch QVGA (240x320 pixels) LCD, and there are no particular complaints when reading emails.
The most distinctive feature of SOCIUS is its Bluetooth handset function. While Bluetooth is common in smartphones and even feature phones, it's almost always used to connect to other handset-compatible devices. SOCIUS, conversely, acts as the handset for making calls by connecting to other smartphones.
