Description
Antique Kirk's Sheffield Forged Stainless Steel Knife Carving Set Faux Pearl (Nu-Pearl) Handled in Original Box. Silk lining on lid of box has a small stain. This set dates to the 60s before Kirk's became Kirk Matz. You'll often see the handles described as bakelite or genuine mother of pearl handles, but they are Nacrolaque (Nu-Pearl), a durable, man-made material the Kirk's Sheffield is storied to have pioneered the use of in cutlery. Vintage mid century set in beautiful condition though the box shows wear.
