Vintage 1950s Milk Glass Nursery Lamp Circus Clown Giraffe Hobnail Base WORKS
N/A
Up for sale is an adorable, authentic 1950s mid-century modern children's nursery table lamp. This piece features a continuous circus narrative printed on the center cylinder column, depicting two cheerful acrobat clowns floating with balloons and a whimsical yellow giraffe. The bottom base is made of beautiful white milk glass featuring a classic textured hobnail trim. ELECTRICAL AND WORKING STATUS:This lamp has been fully tested and powers on perfectly (as shown in the illuminated gallery photos). The turn-knob rotary click switch operates smoothly with no internal mechanical issues. It retains its original vintage power cord. CRITICAL CONDITION MATERIAL NOTE:Please review the close-up photos carefully. The upper white plastic candle sleeve has historical heat warping and melting on one side, which looks like a deep indentation or dent. This was caused by a previous owner using an old incandescent bulb that ran too hot for the plastic shell. To ensure long-term safety and prevent any further heat damage, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT THE BUYER USE A COOL-BURNING LED BULB ONLY. SPECIFICS: Theme: Vintage Circus / Kitsch Nursery Decor Materials: Hobnail Milk Glass Base, Plastic Casing and Cylinder Era: Circa 1950s / Mid-Century Modern Shade: NOT included (Listing is for the working base only) This item is sold strictly AS-IS / AS FOUND with the noted cosmetic plastic wear. It makes a wonderful, easy restoration project or a gorgeous retro display piece!
