Description
Pair Mirror Image Wall Hanging Reproduction RS Germany Plates with Cobalt and Gold Edges Condition: Some areas of gold paint loss (see final photo for a closeup). Glue holding the wall hooks is yellowed. No stand included. This is a pair of vintage 8 inch decorative plates marked RS. The plates are a vintage reproduction of Reinhold Schlegelmilch porcelain pieces. The RS marks on these plates are red, and far more simple than the actual RS mark. These plates feature a cobalt edge with gold gilded designs on blue background. In the center of each are mirror images of a painting by Francios Boucher, La Morotte. The image features a young shepherd in a red vest looking up at a young shepherdess.
