Antique Primitive Folk Art Patchwork Crazy Wool Velvet Quilt 66”x79” Textile

Description:  This is a wonderful old primitive patchwork crazy quilt measuring approximately 66x79.5 inches.  The front features an irregular, almost abstract arrangement of mixed fabric patches in earthy browns, charcoals, muted greens and soft neutrals. Each piece is outlined with hand embroidery, giving it that beautiful folk art charm.  The backing is a lovely bird print floral patterned fabric  Condition:  Good vintage condition for its age. This is a very old quilt and shows honest signs of wear consistent with time and use. There is natural aging, small tears on more delicate fabrics, back fabric is darker from age, and some spots as shown.  This piece has incredible character and would be stunning draped over a chair, layered at the foot of a bed, or displayed as textile art.  A true one-of-a-kind primitive textile.
