This is a goshuincho (temple/shrine stamp book) case.
It's a large size, so it can hold two books. I've taken photos with two large goshuincho inside.
I made one for myself and found it very easy to use, so I've made this one with a cute fabric.
The lid part is made with fusible interfacing for a firm finish.
I wanted it to be lightweight yet sturdy, so I paid close attention to the details.
