This is a fine-point type with an aluminum finish. It is softer and smoother than chrome-colored nibs.
Furthermore, the characteristics of aluminum-colored nibs include less ink blotting and excellent wear resistance.

It is easy for beginners to handle and produces a mellow line, making it a popular nib among enthusiasts.
It is said that several instructors at the Japan Penmanship Study Association also favor this pen.

LION, famous for office supplies, also produced these, but they are no longer manufactured.
The production and sale of nibs were discontinued over 20 years ago (Heisei 8).
Currently, the Japanese nib brands available are Tachikawa, Nikko, and Zebra.
Tachikawa has inherited the Nikko brand, so the manufacturers are now only Tachikawa and Zebra.
Zebra nibs are a popular brand, supported by instructors at the Japan Penmanship Study Association.

The nibs were manufactured by craftsmen using machines, but it is said that they still use the same machines from that era.
I have heard that there are fewer craftsmen now, and the skills of the craftsmen from the past were higher.
Also, aluminum-colored nibs have less deterioration and are said to retain their original performance even today.

However, they are plated with tin, and in some cases, they may be discolored. Please judge from the photos.
