Red and white fukusa (ceremonial silk cloth) with a beautiful calligraphy design of the kanji character 寿 (kotobuki, meaning longevity or celebration).
- Color: The red silk features a kanoko shibori (a type of tie-dyeing) pattern, with the auspicious character 寿 beautifully rendered.
- Color: The white lining is also inscribed with 寿 in ink. It was received as a gift but was too precious to use, so my grandmother kept it stored in her chest.
