[Features]
Yucca rostrata is highly resistant to cold and heat, making it suitable for dry gardens.
It can be propagated by cuttings or air layering, with the best season being May to August.
[Characteristics]
It is quite hardy.
It grows well along coastlines and in polluted urban areas, and is not particular about soil type.
While some prefer plants with established roots, this species will even sprout roots if a cut stem is left unattended.
[Cultivation]
For rooting, use a rooting hormone and expect roots to form in 2-3 months. Important: Manage rooting in bright shade.
[Watering]
Prefers a dry environment, so keep the soil on the dry side throughout the year. Watering sparingly, especially in winter, will increase its cold tolerance.
It is said to withstand temperatures down to -20°C.
[Fertilizing]
There is no problem with fertilizing, but it is best to fertilize once in spring and once in autumn during the warmer seasons.
