Extend Goniometer (New) / Angle Measurer (Protractor)
A protractor is a tool used in stationery to measure angles. This one can measure angles and also measure length as a ruler.
① A normal protractor has angle markings on a semicircle to measure angles. The semicircular part in this photo serves that function.
② This protractor is integrated with a 20cm ruler (base arm), and the ruler can extend an additional 10cm. Therefore, the total length from the end of the protractor to the end of the ruler is 30cm.
③ A ruler-marked axis (moving arm) is semi-fixed at the center of this protractor and rotates on the angle markings to indicate the angle. Furthermore, this moving arm can extend 10cm, similar to the base arm.
④ By adjusting the lengths of the aforementioned base arm and moving arm, it becomes easier to measure angles of large parts.
In the medical field, particularly in rehabilitation and orthopedic departments, it is used as a tool (extend goniometer) to examine joint angles, bone deformities, etc. It can measure joint angles of any size with this single tool.
⑤ When the base arm and moving arm are opened to 180° and both arms are extended to their maximum, the length from the end of the moving arm to the end of the base arm becomes a maximum of 53cm, allowing for the measurement of femur length.
⑥ The extending structure of these base arm and moving arm has obtained Patent No. 5527666, and no other protractor (extend goniometer) like this can be found anywhere in the world, not just in Japan.
