● This is an auxiliary tool for collecting Stag Beetles (like *Dorcus hopei binodifer*) and Giant Stag Beetles (*Dorcus hopei binodifer*) from tree sap or hollows using a scraping stick.

? When scraping behind bark in high tree hollows, attaching the Mandible Lock first will prevent you from losing the beetle if it falls from the tree! We recommend using this to reliably capture large Stag Beetles and Giant Stag Beetles!!

● Hook the ring onto the inner teeth of the beetle's mandibles, pull the string with the bead, and secure the mandibles.

★ This is strictly an auxiliary tool for the scraping stick; do not attempt to capture beetles with the Mandible Lock alone.

※ If you try to remove a beetle from a tree hollow using only the Mandible Lock by shaking or pulling, you may injure its mandibles or break its legs. In the worst-case scenario, the mandibles could break off. This is purely an auxiliary tool to prevent the beetle from escaping further into the hollow and to aid in collection with a scraping stick.

★ After locking the mandibles to capture the beetle, to release the lock, first slide the push lock under the rubber cap, which will loosen the ring at the tip.

★ When capturing, pull out the ring at the tip with your fingernail so it extends about 2cm.
