This is a knife from Shiroyama Hamono, forged by Mr. Yamatsuka.
It has been used in a home setting.
The thickness tapers from 4mm at the base to 3mm at the tip, giving it a wide profile and a substantial feel.
Originally, both sides had a mirror finish, but I have polished the surface with a whetstone myself to reveal the pattern.
Due to the absence of a wood grain finish, small scratches are noticeable throughout.
A saya (sheath) is also included.
