The Funadegata (boat-shaped) style is produced in small annual quantities among the carpentry hammers made by this smith, making it a rare item. It is shaped like the hammers used by boat carpenters in the past and is commonly used in the Kansai region and westward. The striking face has a gentle curve, closely resembling the Funadegata style made by his master, Koichiro Hasegawa.
Please note that with this shape, regardless of the smith, there is a risk of breakage at the narrowest point if a strike deviates significantly from the center.
