Chinese Antique Zisha Red Clay Water Dish Flower Vase Shigen Carving Plum Bonsai Pot Tea Ceremony Tool Flower Arrangement Tool

Thank you for viewing.

This is a very beautiful design water basin (flower vase/bonsai pot) made from traditional Chinese Zisha (Zhu Ni) clay.

The characters 祥生 (Xiang Sheng) and a delicate and magnificent ancient plum tree are carved on the side.
It bears the mark 志源彫 (Zhi Yuan Diao), indicating an extremely elaborate design from a lineage of renowned Chinese craftspeople.

This piece is not only suitable as a bonsai pot or a water basin for ikebana, but its highly evocative design also makes it perfect as a Chinese tea ceremony utensil (kensui/chafune), offering versatile use.
