This shirt is made of polyamide (heat-resistant nylon fiber) and is worn by helicopter crews and aircrew in hot climate regions. It features a uniquely shaped Velcro chin strap on the back of the collar, allowing it to be worn as a stand-up collar.
The placket front opens with a zipper, and the cuffs can be tightened with Velcro. The sleeves have utility pockets with pen holders and a flap over the zipper, and both chest areas have flap pockets.
Adopted in the late 1960s and used during the Vietnam War, this item was designed for wear in hot climates. Its material offers excellent comfort and breathability, making it suitable for a wide range of seasons.
