For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, so we have received many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them!

Zelkova on the left: approx. 9.7 x 1.3-1.5 cm
Pear on the right: approx. 12.8 x 1.3-1.6 cm

Please note that measurements are approximate as they are taken by an amateur.

Please compare the size to your dog's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For dogs in the nipping phase, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can just barely grasp will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless even if swallowed.
The bark is peeled off one by one from pear wood branches from Niigata Prefecture and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file), but please understand that some imperfections or cracks/splits due to over-drying may occur.

As they are made of wood, your dog's teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouth. However, please supervise your dog while they play.

Please refrain from purchasing if your dog has fruit allergies.
