This is a rabbit made from kimono fabric, antique kimonos, and old cloth.
The hair ornaments are also handmade.
A lucky rabbit charm is also flying.
All the flowers are handmade one by one.
The bell held in its hand was brought along when I visited Usa Jingu Shrine!
Rabbits have long been said to be animals that bring happiness. Their long ears are said to gather good fortune, their hopping signifies things going smoothly, and they represent prosperity. The sound of a bell is said to call the gods and have a purifying effect.
This is a handmade item crafted by my 80-year-old mother as a hobby for the past 10 years. When my mother was young, she collected antique kimonos in Kyoto. She used those kimonos to create this item, hand-sewing it from scratch.
As old cloth is used, there may be unique stains or scratches. As this is a handmade item, it may be less refined or more fragile compared to commercially produced products. Please understand that this is a handmade item before purchasing.
