A vintage figurine based on a masterpiece by Norman Rockwell.
The Runaway
This music box piece, manufactured in the 1980s, is popular among collectors.
A boy runs away from home, intending to join the circus.
A clown gently embraces his anxiety and loneliness.
A dog snuggles at his feet.
The true feelings hidden beneath his bravado, and the presence that tenderly envelops him.
This is a famous scene that quietly expresses the subtleties of the human heart, characteristic of Rockwell.
The music box model plays the melody of Send in the Clowns, adding a deeper resonance to this story.
Made of ceramic and meticulously crafted down to the finest details, it is so well-made it's as if an entire story has been brought to life in three dimensions.
