Rare Daiwa Koki NOVO 35 IIIA with Tomioka Optical Lens and Leather Case

Product Description
This is an extremely rare 35mm rangefinder camera, the NOVO 35 IIIA, released by Daiwa Koki (Daiwa) in the 1950s. This model was distributed by San-ei Sangyo and is characterized by its robust construction, evoking the golden age of cameras.

Key Feature of this Camera
The biggest appeal of this camera is that it is equipped with a Tomioka Optical TRI-LAUSAR 4.5cm F3.5 lens. Tomioka Optical is a prestigious lens manufacturer that later became responsible for producing lenses for Yashica and Contax. Its image rendering capabilities are highly regarded, making this camera a gem where the lens alone holds significant value.

Condition
* Exterior:
  While there are cracks in the leatherette due to age, the overall gloss is present, and it is in very good condition for an item approximately 70 years old.
* Optics:
  There is some minor dust inside the viewfinder, but visibility is good when looking through it.
* Operation:
  The shutter appears to be firing at the set speeds.
* Important Notes:
  The double image in the rangefinder is significantly misaligned, and currently, infinity focus and subject focus do not match. Please be aware of this in advance.

Accessories
* Genuine metal lens cap (engraved with AIRES from another camera)
* Dedicated genuine leather case (engraved with NOVO A)

This is a highly valuable piece of historical equipment. We recommend it for those who want to enjoy the unique rendering of a Tomioka lens or as a collectible item for restoration.

Precautions
This is a very old and delicate precision instrument, sold as-is. We are looking for buyers who understand antique cameras.
