【Excellent Tuning History】KAWAI Upright Piano CX-21D + Chair & Anti-Seismic Equipment

This is a Kawai upright piano, model CX-21D.
Year of Manufacture: 1988
Serial Number: 1796270
Keys: No missing or defective keys.

Dimensions (cm): Width: 145, Height: 121.5, Depth: 55.5

Includes Pro-70 seismic safety equipment (approx. ¥20,000 value)

All keys produce sound and return properly (video available, but cannot be sent via Mercari system).
There are numerous scratches on the exterior. I apologize that the reflections made it difficult to capture them well in the photos.
The bench also shows signs of use and scratches, but is still usable.
Includes 4 seismic safety devices for pianos (*gel pads require replacement).

Please arrange for shipping yourself.
The piano is currently located on the first floor of a detached house.
It can be moved out by human power alone (no stairs, minimal steps).

Due to numerous scratches on both the exterior and the bench, this is recommended for those who prioritize the internal condition or plan to repair the exterior.

Kawai Musical Instruments confirmed that replacing the front panel costs ¥44,000 (parts and labor) at their Kashiwa branch in Chiba Prefecture (as of June 2025).

Tuning will be necessary after transport.

The piano was tuned almost every year from S63 (1988) to H7 (1995), then twice in H13 (2001) after a gap, and almost every year from H23 (2011) to R3 (2021). A tuner mentioned that the condition was very good due to being kept in a room with low humidity. It has been stored in the same environment (air conditioning during summers) since the last tuning.

This piano has been with me for 37 years, but I am offering it to someone who will play it as I no longer have the opportunity.
As the sole owner, please feel free to ask any questions you may have. My children also played it, so there are quite a few scratches and marks. I will clean it as thoroughly as possible before handing it over to the shipping company.

Thank you.
