Ethnic musical instruments
This is a musical instrument that appears to have been made by drying natural plants (legumes?!) as they are.
Purchased at JPC (Japan Percussion Center). It might be a large, long-podded plant like a sword bean, but I don't remember the product description.
In my personal opinion, it makes a sound somewhere between kashakasha and kachakacha inside the pod. It has a simple, rustic sound.
