Orvis CFO IV Fly Reel Screwback with Line Guard, New
299.00 $
Description
Orvis CFO IV Fly Reel, Screwback with Line Guard, New, Made in England.
The Orvis CFO was created by the American company Orvis, commissioned from the British company Hardy, and became a standard for subsequent fly reels. In particular, the early model is called the Screwback and is distinguished from later products by a screw in the center.
After that, the British-made CFO was discontinued and remains so to this day. This reel is a new condition item from that era. It has remained unused, complete with its suede case and the retailer's warranty card. This is a valuable historical fly reel.
