Horagai (Conch Shell) 40.1cm, with Bag, 1339g - ¥46,000 - Yamabushi (Mountain Ascetic) - Shugen (Ascetic Training)

We are offering a large Shugen horagai at a special price. This is a plump shell with excellent balance, making it feel lighter than its weight.
You can produce a pleasant sound with it.
If you wish, we can adjust the depth and shape of the mouthpiece, finish it with cashew lacquer, or attach a gypsum ring to the mouthpiece, which is often used by the Honzan school, before shipping.
Please let us know how you intend to play it, and we will finish and ship it to meet your needs.
We have confirmed that both Otsu and Ko tones can be produced. The basic principle is to be able to play it, so please practice diligently. The notation and playing methods for Shugen horagai also vary by sect, so please ask if you have any questions.
Also, while the shell will naturally wear with use, we offer after-sales service to our customers for the actual cost of shipping, etc.
The shell bag and mouthpiece processing are provided as a service.
