The sound quality is not very good, especially with the last tape, possibly due to compatibility issues. Sound is output through connected headphones.

Upon disassembly, there were no old rubber belts, and no degraded rubber belts were found attached.
A high-quality rubber belt has been replaced.
The capstan was rusted, so it has been cleaned as much as possible with sandpaper.
The pinch roller was deformed, so it has been replaced with a new one. It is slightly smaller than the original.
The head, capstan, and pinch roller have been cleaned with a dedicated cleaning solution.
The head has been demagnetized.
The playback speed has been adjusted by simultaneously playing a commercially recorded cassette tape and a YouTube music video.
A regular clicking sound can be heard during playback. This sound is not audible to the user when wearing earphones or headphones.
During maintenance, internal parts seemed stiff and did not move properly. They are currently moving, but if not operated frequently, the same symptoms may reappear.

Due to the above, this item is listed as defective with a reduced price.

Playback, stop, fast forward, and rewind can be operated with the main unit. There is no crackling in the volume control.

Through repairing and testing several Walkmans, I have found that some cassette tapes do not play cleanly or have sections that do not play due to compatibility issues. Please understand this before purchasing.

Please check the exterior condition from the images.

No accessories are included. Gumstick battery is not included. Please prepare a gumstick battery from Amazon or other retailers.
