The LA-610 MkII is a channel strip that combines an all-tube vintage microphone preamplifier, heard on recordings by artists like Coldplay, Van Halen, and The Beach Boys, with an authentic Teletronix T4 optical compression circuit.
This channel strip, delivering warm preamp tone and smooth, natural compression, is equipped with features modern users need, such as true compressor bypass, a large meter, high output, and an auto-switching power supply.

The LA-610 MkII is based on the legendary console module developed by Bill Putnam in the 1960s.
This preamplifier was used in recordings by numerous artists, from Frank Sinatra and Coldplay to Van Halen and Pet Sounds. The LA-610 MkII imparts a silky, vintage warmth to sources, similar to the microphone amplifier design of the original console.
The LA-610 Mk II's T4 tube compressor provides the same warm limiting sound as the king of opto-compressors, the Teletronix LA-2A.
The electro-optical detector, or T4 cell, is the heart and soul of the Teletronix LA-2A. It gives the compressor its unique warmth and is ideal for tracking vocals, bass, guitar, and more.
