Ayu (Sweetfish) Frozen, Frozen Ayu, Kuji River, Angling, 17 Fish
These are ayu (sweetfish) caught using the friend fishing method on the Kuji River in Ibaraki Prefecture. They were caught around August of this year, so they are not carrying eggs like late autumn individuals.
I originally caught them for myself and my family to eat, but my family said, We've had enough ayu, and We don't want to eat them anymore. Since I don't want to throw them away, I'm looking for someone who will take them.
As they were intended for consumption, I squeezed out their feces at the fishing spot and have been storing them frozen. They are generally portioned into bags of 3. The top row in the first photo shows the larger fish (around 18cm), and the bottom row shows the slightly smaller ones.
They taste great, and I love them, but eating about 50 of them as a family can make people tired of them ( ; ; ) ...
Of course, I secured them for consumption, so I believe there are no issues with their storage condition, but I am listing them for fishing bait at your own risk.
