This model was created with the thought, If the artist, whom the designer most admires, Andy Warhol, were alive today, this is what I'd want him to wear. The design is a direct realization of a sketch drawn directly onto his portrait taken in the 80s. The temples utilize the traditional method of core wiring, but after the wiring process, a craftsman's innovative idea is employed: using an old machine called a rotary file to manually round the sides of the temples. This technique allows for an irregular, rounded temple shape that cannot be achieved with standard core wiring methods. The sunglasses lenses are original 4-curve lenses made from Japanese glass, colored by blending metal particles and other materials, then individually molded after melting.
