Starbucks You Are Here Washington DC Mug 2017 in Original Box Collection

A Starbucks You Are Here Collection mug for Washington, D.C., with its original kraft sleeve and green gift box. The exterior is printed with a flat graphic panel of the city: the Capitol dome, the Washington Monument, the White House, cherry blossoms, a fountain and a ribbon of red road, with WASHINGTON, D.C. across the top in red. The base is marked STARBUCKS, YOU ARE HERE collection, manufactured for Starbucks Coffee Company Seattle WA 98134, with a 2017 copyright, microwave and dishwasher safe, made in China. The You Are Here series replaced the older Starbucks city mug line in 2013 and ran with a consistent format: a wide barrel shape, a bright illustrated panel, and the city name set above it. Each design was sold only in its own region, so collectors build sets by travelling or trading rather than ordering. The 2017 copyright on the base dates this printing rather than the design. Condition is excellent. The glaze is bright with no chips, cracks or crazing found, the printed panel is unworn, and the interior is clean with no staining. The kraft sleeve and green box are both present and in good order with light shelf wear. No measured photograph was supplied for this item.
