Mid Century‎ PLATES 8.25" Handpainted Gambone Burro Mark Vietri Made in Italy

Vintage Pair of Mid-Century Era Gambone Vietri Italy Plates Hand Painted, Signed, 8.25 Diameter Decorative Pottery 1940s-50's Italian wall plates. They were never used for dining, always hung, so there are no utensil marks or scratches. Both feature the same aqua teal and purple-reddish banding, but designs are different. They are hand-painted and appear to be purple scallions and an eggplant. Recommended for decorative use only as paint lead content unknown. No pottery damage. There are characteristic tiny pinholes or imperfections in the glaze as found in most old pottery (shown blown-up in photos). Signed on the backs. One has just ITALY, the other has what appears to be a poorly stamped mark of the Gambone Burro - it looks like a portion of the stamp was missed or swiped through the middle above the word ITALY. See blown-up pic.
