Description
Late 1950's-early 1960's. In the manner of Christian Dior 1961 collection. An orange textured turban-style head wrap in a slub-textured lightweight silk, dupioni, or textured cotton blend in bright orange/tangerine.: Fitted band around the front crown with soft gathering/pleating and a draped back tail or knot accent, adjustable. I have hand washed it. Non smoking home. This belonged to my Aunt Corrine who was a great beauty and worked for Elizabeth Arden. She had a wardrobe of these turbans and snoods that she wore for cosmetic applications and for sun bathing.. always gorgeous and glamorous.
