Antique Edwardian German Lithograph Chimney Flue Cover - Woman Portrait Wall Art Genuine antique chimney flue cover made in Germany. During the Victorian and Edwardian periods, these decorative glass-and-metal plates were hung over open stove pipe holes during the warmer months to keep out drafts and decorate the home. This lovely piece features a classic portrait lithograph of an elegant Edwardian woman in a wide-brim hat holding blossoming branches. It is framed in an ornate metal rim with its original link hanging chain and retains its historical cardboard backing stamped MADE IN GERMANY. Condition Report: There is a minor flake/slight break on the edge of the glass on the left side, typical of fragile items of this age, though it remains stable within the frame. The cardboard backing shows age-related toning, wear, and a watermark/discoloration, reflecting its genuine utilitarian history. A wonderful, highly collectible piece of rustic folk decor!
