Japanese Pair Of Mid Century Vases Feat. Birds & Water Scene, Iridescent

MID CENTURY PAIR OF IRIDESCENT JAPANESE VASES FEATURING WETLAND BIRDS & FLOWERS Approximate dimensions: 11H x 5W x 3.5D Condition: these appear to be nearly pristine.  I don't see any major scratches or chips. MORE DETAILS These are a striking pair of large, matching decorative vases with a highly iridescent, rainbow-like finish that shifts colors (blues, purples, greens, yellows, pinks, and more) as light hits the dark base surface. The background is deep blue with a glossy, metallic sheen that creates a prismatic, oil-slick or aurora-like effect across the entire body. The vases have a classic elegant shape: Tall and elongated, with a wide rounded belly that tapers gracefully to a flared rim at the top and a slightly flared foot/base at the bottom. The decoration features tall wetland or pond scenes with lotus flowers (several large open white/pale lilies with yellow centers, surrounded by broad green/blue lotus leaves and stems/reeds/grasses in flowing naturalistic style). Birds: these might stylistically represent herons, kingfishers, or other water birds. The motifs are detailed and raised or overlaid, giving a sense of depth and texture against the shimmering background.
