Description
【Traditional Janome Umbrella / Showa Retro Antique】
Thank you for looking.
This is an authentic Janome umbrella with a beautiful, subdued vermilion color.
It is inscribed with Shumi no Wagasa (Hobby Japanese Umbrella) and Tokusen Shumi no Janome Gasa (Special Hobby Janome Umbrella).
■ Product Condition
Due to age and storage, there are several tears and rips in the Japanese paper part. However, the frame is sturdy and it opens and closes smoothly.
The characteristic oil scent of a traditional umbrella adds to the Japanese aesthetic and vintage feel.
■ Recommended Uses
While it may be difficult to use as a practical rain umbrella as is, consider these uses:
• Japanese modern interior/display for shops or Japanese-style rooms
• Photo shoots or stage props, utilizing the tears or after repair
• Remake material/DIY material, such as re-pasting the Japanese paper
■ Size (approximate)
• Diameter: Approx. 120cm
• Total Length: Approx. 72cm
(Please allow for slight errors due to amateur measurements)
