Chris Paulson 2005 Signed Oregon Fused Glass Green Sushi Tray 16.5"

Striking handcrafted fused-glass sushi tray by Oregon glass artist Chris Paulson. This original studio-art piece is etched with the artist’s signature and dated 2005.  Paulson creates his distinctive glasswork in Eugene, Oregon. Each piece is constructed from individually cut and arranged sheets of glass that are kiln-fused at high temperatures, gradually cooled, and reheated to slump the glass into its finished form.  This long, narrow tray features luminous emerald-green iridescent glass surrounding a clear center band decorated with freeform black stringer lines and metallic, rainbow-like accents. Four applied glass feet elevate the tray slightly above the table.  Designed as functional art, it can be used for sushi, appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, or displayed as a contemporary centerpiece.
