Hermès Les Fêtes du Roi Soleil 90cm  Jacquard Silk Scarf  Designed by Michel Duchène and issued in Hermès' 1994/1995 Autumn/Winter collection, this scarf is a tribute to Louis XIV, the Sun King. The design shows the pageantry of a royal parade — plumed riders on caparisoned horses, courtiers in elaborate period costume, and a feathered crown at center — framed by a ribbon border and a golden yellow surround.   What sets this one apart from a standard issue is the ground. It’s jacquard silk, meaning the fireworks-burst pattern across the ivory field is woven into the fabric rather than printed on it.
