Tea Ceremony Fukusa, Kaga Yuzen, by Mitsuo Mishima, Bellflower Purple

This is a Kaga Yuzen fukusa (silk scarf) by Mitsuo Mishima, a unique artist of Kaga Yuzen whose work is not widely known outside of Ishikawa Prefecture. This piece, with its delicate, stippled patterns drawn in negative space, perfectly embodies his distinctive style. I purchased several of these in different colors over 30 years ago and used them. The actual color is somewhere between the shades shown in images 1 and 3. I have kept this particular piece, a bluish-purple bellflower color, and another one in a pale wasabi green (listed separately) unused. I believe it is still beautiful with no fading, but please understand that it is an item that has aged over time. It originally cost 20,000 yen, but since it has remained unused over the years, I would like to pass it on to someone who will use it.
