Astronauts Stainless Steel Neck Plate (1.5t)

This is a stainless steel neck plate purchased from Astronauts Guitars.
It is unused.

The following is quoted from the official Retro Tone Pickups website:

This neck plate, a simple part that significantly impacts a guitar's sound, was developed over about a year through various pattern tests.
Most commercially available neck plates use thicker material than vintage ones, but as the material thickness increases, the fundamental tone sharpens towards the higher frequencies. Furthermore, strangely, even when chrome-plating 1.5mm thick steel like vintage ones, the fundamental tone sharpens compared to vintage, and the desired sound was not achieved. Therefore, we remade it using stainless steel as the material, and were able to achieve almost the same characteristics as vintage in terms of thickness, weight, and fundamental tone with this neck plate.
We believe that chrome-plating this plate would further bring the overtone characteristics closer to vintage, but we found the current sound appealing and decided that plating stainless steel would be too costly. Therefore, we finished this product with a polished finish by a craftsman on the surface only.
Among the more than 10 types of neck plates tested, this neck plate and vintage ones have the lowest fundamental tone, are rich in dynamics, and produce the most natural sound when installed on a guitar.
