Authentic Blenko Elegant handblown glass vase in stunning Ombre Lilac Lavender purple. Makers mark fire flame embedded in the purple glass while processing the glass is present. 3lbs solid glass, flared mouth 6” stands 9.5” tall. Smooth, curved silhouette highlights the rich purple color. The small orange flame mark on the purple glass vase is a piece of embedded colored glass or a frit contaminant that was introduced during the hand-blowing process. Makers mark for some older Blenko pieces. When glass blowers share a furnace, reheating chamber (glory hole), or metal tools, tiny shards of colored glass remains on the blowing pipe, it fuses directly into the molten purple glass matrix. These specs are a hallmark signature of handmade art glass and distinguish genuine hand-blown work from mass-produced factory glass. This is a large 9.5” hand-blown glass vase crafted by the Blenko Glass Company, specifically showcasing an ombré lavender or lilac color. The tiny orange droplet-shaped mark visible near the center is a Blenko handblown glass Brandmark which is the classic Brandmark used by the manufacturer to certify authenticity. Raised bottom inclusion is also a Brandstamp known to Blenko Glass.
