Blenko 596 Nile Green Art Glass Vase Wayne Husted Mid Century

A wonderful example of midcentury Blenko, this 596 bowl was made in 1959 in Nile, a deep, saturated green produced for just that year. The cased glass creates a lovely flash of clear crystal at the base, a subtle detail that really comes alive in the light. Designed during Wayne Husted's years at Blenko, it's a great example of the bold color and confident simplicity of the period.  Measurements: • Height: 7 • Diameter: 6  Very good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and use, primarily to the underside of the base. The base bears the sandblasted Blenko mark. A small inventory label from the previous owner remains on the underside and has been intentionally left in place. Small bubbles and minor irregularities from the handmade process may be present. No chips or cracks observed.
