Highly detailed, vintage 1989 commemorative belt buckle celebrating J.C. Penney Store No. 1 The Mother Store or The Golden Rule Store (as seen on the front of the buckle) in Kemmerer, Wyoming on April 14, 1902. This heavy, high-relief buckle features a crisp frontier scene on the front depicting the original 1902 Golden Rule storefront with horse-drawn carriages, framed by a distinct scrolling scroll border on the sides. The reverse features an engraved historical plaque detailing the company's growth up to 1989, along with the official stamp: Produced by Dart Inc. out of Henderson, Nebraska.
