Rare Showa Retro Nambu Ironware Ashtray "Meikyo Shisui" Traditional Craft Souvenir 1184g

【Traditional Craftsmanship】A substantial ashtray made from Nambu ironware.

Thank you for viewing.

We are offering a Nambu ironware ashtray (with lid) from Iwate Prefecture's traditional craft.

The lid is engraved with the phrase Meikyo Shisui, which represents a calm and serene state of mind, and the four corners are adorned with cherry blossom emblems, creating a design of exceptional dignity.

This item was created as a commemorative gift for the company's 20th anniversary in Showa 46 (1971) and is not for sale. Although it is a vintage item over 50 years old, it has been carefully stored in its original wooden box and remains in excellent condition.

While it can be used as an ashtray, its substantial weight also makes it suitable for use as a paperweight for calligraphy, as an interior decoration for Japanese-style rooms, or as a container for small items.
