A slightly old, retro, and substantial "Blue and White Floral Chrysanthemum Plate"
This is a Sometsuke Kusabana Mon Kikka-zara (Blue and White Flower and Grass Pattern Chrysanthemum Plate) with a slightly old, retro, and substantial feel.
It's a somewhat large plate, shaped like a chrysanthemum, with a design of flowers and grasses painted in blue and white within a double circle in the center.
It has a charm reminiscent of early Imari ware, with its heavy and thick form, the texture of the milky white porcelain with its viscous glaze, and the simple painting.
While it appears to be an old Imari blue and white plate, the exact era and kiln are unknown.
There are signs of age, such as small chips and scratches on the foot rim that look like marks from being stuck together during firing, but overall it is in good condition.
We ask that those who understand that this is an antique item and can judge the era, kiln, and condition from the photos please consider purchasing it.
Diameter approx. 23.0 cm, Height approx. 4.5 cm.
