Vtg~MCM~Black/Gold~Ceramic~Dachshund~Cocker Spaniel~Dog~Desk Letter Card Holder

This listing is for... A vintage MCM desktop business card and/or letter holder shaped like a elongated Cocker Spaniel or long-haired Dachshund dog! Made of ceramic with heavy spiraled gold-toned spring that forms the body of the dog and holds the papers.  No visible makers marks, but the bottom is covered in felt, so the mark may be under that.  This type of item was generally made in Japan during the 1950s-60s.    Holder measures 7 1/2 long, 3 1/2 tall and 2 1/2 from tip of nose to back of head. Excellent, used condition!  No chips, cracks, crazing.  Some light scuffing of the gold toning.  I have been using this piece myself for the past several years and have decided that it is time to declutter my workspace a little bit.  This cute guy is truly a sacrifice, but I hope someone can give him a good home.
