Description
This 1930s Welsharp fountain pen is made of marbled celluloid. All trimming is stainless with 14K gold plating. The celluloid of the 30s was prized for its deep, pearlescent patterns. This is a beautiful piece of history. Made by the Welsh Manufacturing Company in Rhode Island, it was forced to stop production in the late 30s by a court during a trademark battle with The Wahl Company. These were the pocket sized models. Rare and collectible. Pen tip is 14k gold plated with scripted writing on its tip.
