This substantial vintage Holmes & Edwards Danish Princess collection features the classic pattern introduced in 1938. Pieces are marked HOLMES & EDWARDS INLAID. This is silverplate rather than sterling silver.  The carving knife has a stainless blade marked DE LUXE STAINLESS. The collection includes an unusually large assortment of place-setting, carving, serving, and small/specialty pieces.  INCLUDED INVENTORY: • 12 Dinner Knives • 18 Dinner Forks • 11 Salad Forks • 20 Teaspoons • 12 Soup Spoons • 4 Butter Knives • 3 Small/Specialty Spoons • 1 Carving Knife • 1 Large Carving/Serving Fork  82 total flatware pieces. Storage chest is additional and is not included in the 82-piece count.  The included vintage burgundy-lined chest bears a “Tarnish Proof Silver Chest” interior label. It is included as storage; no claim is made that it was originally sold with this specific set or manufactured Holmes & Edwards.  CONDITION: Pre-owned vintage condition. Flatware has normal age-related surface scratches, polishing marks, use marks, light tarnish, and patina, while retaining generally attractive shine and presentation.  The carving knife’s DE LUXE STAINLESS blade has visible scratches and use marks. The chest exterior has substantial cosmetic wear, including scratches, scuffs, marks, finish loss, and edge wear.
